When we first started doing Brazilian Blowouts about a year and a half ago, my client's goal was simple.
She wanted to eliminate her frizz.
Like many women, she was tired of spending time styling her hair only to walk outside and watch humidity undo all her hard work. She wanted her curls to be easier to manage. her mornings to be simpler, and her hair to behave a little better.
So we started doing regular Brazilian Blowouts.
The results were exactly what we expected.
Less frizz.
Smoother hair.
Up to 12 weeks of easier styling.
A blow-dry time that was cut almost in half.
What we didn't expect was what happened next.
At one of her appointments, she mentioned something that had nothing to do with hair.
Her headaches had improved.
Not just a little.
A lot.
Now, before we go any further, I want to be clear; Brazilian Blowouts are not a medical treatment, and they are not designed to treat headaches.
But in her case, something interesting happened.
Because her hair became easier to manage, she was spending less time blow-drying, less time fighting frizz, and less time putting tension on her hair during styling.
She also noticed her hair air-dried faster than it had before.
The result?
Less time with her arms overhead.
Less time pulling, stretching, brushing, and fighting with her hair.
And for her, that made a noticeable difference.
As hairstylists, we often talk about what hair looks like.
But sometimes the biggest transformations aren't what you see in the mirr
Sometimes it's the extra 20 minutes you get back in the morning.
Sometimes it's having confidence when humidity rolls in.
And sometimes it's realizing that something you started for cosmetic reasons ended up improving your daily like in ways you never expected.
That's why I love what I do.
It's confidence.
It's convenience.
It's feeling more like more like you.
And every now and then, it's discovering a benefit you never coming.
If you've been fighting frizz, spending forever blow-drying your hair, or simply want an easier styling routine, let's talk about whether a Brazilian Blowout might be a good fit for you.
You might come for the smooth hair.
But you never know what else might improve along the way.
